Air France Increases Boston-Paris Sevice to 12 Flights Weekly

4/21/2000

The Massachusetts Port Authority announced today that Air France will increase its service between Boston and Paris from seven to 12 weekly flights beginning Monday, April 24. The five additional flights will operate Thursday through Monday using Boeing 767-300ER airplanes configured with 22 Business Class seats and 164 Economy Class seats. This is a permanent, not seasonal, increase in service.

"Air France's increase to 12 flights weekly is a reflection of Boston's strength as a business center and a popular destination for European visitors," said Virginia Buckingham, Massport's executive director and CEO.

The new flights will depart from Logan's Terminal C at 5:50pm and will arrive at 6:30am the following morning at Paris' Charles de Gaulle Terminal 2. This new departure time, the earliest between Boston and Paris, enables travelers to connect to most Air France destinations in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. The return flights depart from Paris at 1:15pm and arrive in Boston at 3pm.

"France ranks third in international visitor volume to Boston and New England, so additional service welcomed," said Charles Yelen, Massport's director of International Marketing.
