James A. Aloisi, Jr. is Secretary of Transportation for the Executive Office of Transportation and Public Works (EOTPW). The Secretary has direct oversight of the Massachusetts Highway Department, the Registry of Motor Vehicles, and serves as the Chair of the MBTA Board of Directors, the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority, and the Massachusetts Aeronautics Commission. As Secretary, he also serves as an ex officio member of the Massport Board.

Secretary Aloisi has had a distinguished career in public service with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. After five years as Assistant Attorney General, he then served as Chief Legal Counsel to the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, Assistant Secretary of the Executive Office of Transportation and Construction, and General Counsel to the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority.

Most recently, Secretary Aloisi was a Director in the Boston law firm of Goulston & Storrs.

Secretary Aloisi received a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College. He was graduated from Boston College Law School and admitted to the Massachusetts Bar. He also holds a Master of Liberal Arts from Harvard University.
