Massport is governed by a seven member Board appointed to staggered, seven-year terms by the Governor of Massachusetts. Members serve without compensation.
Massport's Chief Executive Officer serves at the pleasure of the Board and is responsible for implementing the Board's decisions and carrying out its agenda with the assistance of key department heads.
Current Members of the Massport Board:
- John A. Quelch (Chairman), Lincoln Filene Professor of Business Administration and Senior Associate Dean for International Development at Harvard Business School
- James A. Aloisi, Jr., Secretary of Transportation, Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Ranch C. Kimball, President and Chief Executive Officer of Joslin Diabetes Center
- Paul J. McNally, Business Manager for the Massachusetts Laborers' District Council. Trustee for the New England Laborers' Training Trust Fund and the New England Laborers' Labor-Management Cooperation Trust
- Fred Mulligan, President of Cutler Associates, Inc., a full-service architecture and construction firm with offices in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Florida
